How long do I have to wait to re dye my hair?

I used nice %26amp; easy diy permanent hair dye. (120A Golden Brown) but is has come out almost black. I want to keep it brown as this is my natural colour but I want it to cover my grey hair, which is why I went with permanent. I Need to know how long to wait before I should re do it and also what shade would be best. If a brand could be recommened too that would be great. All help gratefully received.

sometimes grey really picks up color and holds it and it will always be darker than what you expect. You need to wait 4-6 weeks if you are using a perm color. if you want to do something until then use a semi permanent color. and at least you can play with it and see what you like without any harsh results. or if you can't wait see a professional. Sally beauty supply has some great brands. I can't tell you what color because I can't see your hair. You can use any brand that has a color that you like.

i also have done that i would die it the next day but get meduim, blond or dark blond my hairthen goes a nice meduim brown (not blond at all )

you don't really hav to wait to redye it. jus buy a lighter shade than wat you originally bought and leave it in a bit longer.

or if your main objective is to hide grey hair you could just keep doing touch ups. its wat my mum does with her hair.

for one box of dye my dad is able to use it twice for touch ups.

jus instead of mixing the whole bottle, try and divide it evenly since you won't need much dye for touch ups.

and then just apply to your roots where the grey is coming out. and then with the dye you havent mixed yet you can save it and wait until the grey grows out again, then mix it and redo the touch ups. it helps to save money and is less of a hassle than doing all of your hair. if you try and match the hair dye to your natural colour than you wouldnt need to dye your whole head

give it about a week and look after it then dye it a dark blond or a light brown loreal dyes are very good make sure you use masks in it once a week so it doesn't get too damaged

wait a few weeks, wash it lots and try to fade the colour then use a light ash brown. Ash takes out red tones. Never use browns with warm or red tones as they turn out the darkest even if those colours are called 'medium warm brown'. Or opt for light brown low lights to break up the dark colour
