What is the difference between Hair colouring and hair dying?

What is the difference between Hair colouring and hair dying? I have grey hair mainly on the parts which are visible. Which is better to do? How much would be the cost to the same in beauty parlor? Is it easy to do it ourselves? Which brand is good in color/dye?

What is the difference between Hair colouring and hair dying?

Nothing. the term hair coloring is a professional term, and hair dying, is not. You would want to use a permanent hair color. I would go to a salon, for the best grey coverage. i don't know where you are from, but where i am from ( ohio) an all over color generally starts around 65+. Using store bought color is not healthy for your hair and the color isn't as brilliant.

You need permanent hair color b/c demi or semi permanent color will not penetrate your hair enough to color you grey.

What is the difference between Hair colouring and hair dying?

colouring and dying are the same, colouring is the professional term for dying your hair. if you have up to 25% of grey hair you could use a semi-permanent colour, which would last 6-8 wks. better getting professional advice. cost really depends on the salon ask your hairdresser next time your having a haircut. best brands are loreal, wella. if you do decide to do it at home choose a colour that is lighter than your own ,as semi-permenent colour always goes darker .
