Is grey hair due to stress or genes?

Well, if your family has a history of going grey (like most of us) then it is genes. However, when we are extra stressed our body is useing the neutriants to support our organs like our heart and liver so our hair is one of the last things that gets the neutriants... if you have noticed... when you are stressed for a long period of time, your hair can feel dry and brittle. This means that your hair can also go grey from lack of neutriants. It really is a bit of both.

How you can tell the difference is that grey hair that is naturally going grey is a bit softer and falls into your hair naturaly, stress related grey hair is more often than not a bit thicker, and harder.

my son has some few gray hairs. he's only 7 years old. i started to get a few during my teenage years. like you at first i thought it's from stress, you know school stuff with some teenage problems. but i guess it's really in the genes. coz i doubt my son is already stressed out.
